Not defending that Wanted dead and alive schrodinger’s cat shirt tag, but keep in mind that the information regarding key personnel compensation (including the CEO) that is reported on corporate and non profit organization’s tax returns is NOT just their take home pay. It’s their benefits, stock options (if any), business travel, and other incidentals incurred as part of their job. It’s still too much, but it may not be as much as you think.

but I think that Wanted dead and alive schrodinger’s cat shirt of the C Suite would have done well to have taken a modest cut or foregone their raise or bonus as a sign of goodwill to their employees and the public.
